Windsurfing: Glenorchy - NZ Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 0 - 10 knots Surf / Sea State: flat as u can get Air Temperature: 14C Sea Temperature: 11C Weather: Sunshine Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Finished work early again in the hope of a late afternoon windsurfing
session before it got dark. There was wind everywhere so instead of sailing
nr. Queenstown, I ventured of 45 km further up the lake to Glenorchy thats
noted for its speed sailing. The lake was whitecapping everywhere until I
reached Glenorchy where it was breathless. Was a waste of time going
windsurfing there today but the trip was definately worth it for the
scenery. Truly amazing breathtaking stuff and its no wonder a lot of the
lord of the rings scenes were filmed here.
